I'm using CSS to create new buttons and need some help with the templates, New Thread and Reply to Topic in particular.

I presume I should locate in FORUMDISPLAY:

And replace the stuff in the <if> statement with my new code.

This is the code I'm struggling with. I know the below is extremely crude and wrong, but it's all I know at this stage. I just can't seem to fine all the parameters I need in the manual:
