For instance, one could combine Chiefs lock first post with your min/max and integrate articles within the forums alongside normal posts. The articles would be placed in the forum that fits best. In my case with an RC forum. If an article were to be written about motors, then that post could be made within that fora, with the first post locked (article format) and unlimited characters and img tags

Of course per post wouldnt be really per post. It would be applicable to the usergroup itself as that would over ride the character limitations. ie. sub usergroup for article writers etc.
