I figured it out with help from a tip from vb.com. I had to manually go through possible plugins and find the culprit and delete. There were still plugins from this hack installed, I removed them, and everything is ok. Thanks for the help though.

I never dig into that part of vBulletin but I think that additional usergroup permissions override primary one.

I am not sure but you could run a test to see and share the answer with us

So as you can see from Ohiosweetheart message, 1.5 is on the way with the main 1.4 bug corrected
