If the admin logs into the forums and keeps refreshing the pages, then the scheduled tasks will eventually get caught up. Check your scheduled tasks log, and in another winbdo refresh forumhome a few times, then refresh scheduled tasks log and you'll see.

This is an issue I have been trying to get jelsoft to add, as in my thread here.
