I did look for some open source tools, despite what the article says. I found a couple of things but I can't say if it is possible yet.

Oh, and I doubt the button is just an example button. He released it as a game at the official site, and some others. Which got like a 1 star rating from everyone for semi obvious reasons of not being a game. Oh well.
