1. the logo is not bad. Try to repeat some design elements throughout the board design
2. get a unique theme designed or start doing it yourself. You need a unique look, a default skin is a NO NO
3. too many categories. Start smaller and increase their number once you have more topics
4. start new topics daily and keep the members interested with them
5. Work like crazy and it's gonna be OK
