Most coders have a 1280x1024 screen resolution, so screenshots naturally would be bigger than 700x700. Also, even on smaller resolutions, you might want to make 1 long page to 1 screenshot (with photoshop or ff extension) to ease the reader.
I'm not suggesting to have that limit everywhere, just for coders and just for the mod forums.
Btw I've seen quite a few mods with screenshots at the second post.
