I am working on creating some "private" forums for organizations. I would like the organization to self-manage their users. I am running vB 3.6.8.

Currently I have installed the Vision Scripts Invites System 1.4.

Ideally I would like the invitee's (new member's) additional usergroup(s) to be updated to match the invitor's (referring member's) additional usergroup(s). I would ideally like to have this done tied to the invite rather than the referrer field to prevent someone from using the referrer field to gain usergroup access. Any thoughts on how I could do this?

As a backup, how could I simply use the referrer field on the registration to update the additional usergroup(s) to match for the new member?

Do you guys have other suggestions on how to manage this?
