Mike (the developer) was the original founder of vBulletin.org and from him the green style comes. Later I believe chen restarted the site and such continued on to what it is now.

Lesane got pissy because he was pirating stuff and decided to up and leave. His forums run invision now, or they did last time i was reporting him to invision for piracy.
