I'm sure there is a mod on this site that I can customize to do what I need, but I can't find one.

I would like to make a bot, very much like the RSS bot built into vBulletin, to pull information from a text database I create and post on a schedule. Let's take all of the features the RSS bot has built into vBulletin, but customize it to use information in a text file instead of an XML file. Here is an example of use:

I create a long list of survival tips and want a single tip to be posted each week without me physically doing so. I would create the list of content and an automation would post each segment on a time I set. It would be nearly identical to vBulletin's RSS Feed bot, but instead of pulling the content from an outside XML file I would be pulling from an internal file I've created before initiating the bot.

It's not unlike some of the mods created for posting random quotes. The major difference is within the options. I would be able to make them actual threads or posts within a thread and have optional settings like with vB's RSS Feeds. The great thing about this mod (if there isn't an alternative) is that it can be customized to fit any site owner's needs.
