I assume you turned a forum into a link from the looks of the screen shots, is that what you did?

If yes, what your doing isnt going to work easily anyways.

If no, then you should be able to extract what you want from the default coding and paste into the custom table you created.

Adding the coding to make it show at the top of the site, just place it under the $navbar call in the forumhome template.
