Maybe because the vbulletin software is a very important part of our websites and we spent a lot of time and energy to enhance and modify it to suit our needs?
It took me some thousand hrs to get this done and it would be a nightmare if major changes as code encryption or car advertising banners pop ups

should be integrated in future versions. And sadly there is no alternative to vbulletin.
