After seeing the post above I see the problem is here and it is check as NO by default so when changes are made the Box is removed is the userCP code is not in place.

In the next version you may want it to be YES by default to avoid this problem if some one doesn't want the userCP option.

This is set to yes by default.

Yes I didn't think about that but da420 is right, have you done the modifications to the modifyoptions template as explained in the readme file.

If you don't make it, then on first profile change, the form items will not be present. This then lead to the fact that the values returned will be equal to 0. So I am pretty certain that this could be the problem you're experiencing.
