I've been searching around but haven't found anything that does what I'm looking for just yet, so I thought I'd throw out this idea to see if a vb 3.6 friendly mod was out there before I go writing my own.

Our forums are very large and active, and in the Buy/Sell/Trade area, a user can post a thread and have it be off the first page in a matter of a minute or two.

We have a big problem with users bumping their own threads and soliciting bumps from other users, and I'd like to put an end to it.

What I'm looking for is a hack that allows me to specify that several forums will:

1) Not bump threads on new posts (regardless of who is posting)
2) Allow the thread starter to click a bump button once per X hours to bump their thread.

Does anyone know of anything that does this? I've seen several admin side "bump" hacks, but nothing that does what I'm after. Am I missing something?
