Hello.

Recently my site went down and along with it, the years of toil I had done in getting scripts up for banner advertisement.

So much for complacency.

I purchased hosting through a channel of mine and have almost everything set up. As the title says, I opted to use phpadsnew because frankly, that's all I've worked with.

But my problem is this. I'm trying to install 2.0.9. I have everything uploaded onto a nice empty part of my host. I even created its own database. But for some reason, I keep getting this error message:

The following item(s) need to be corrected before you can install phpAdsNew. If you have any questions about this error message, please read the Administrator guide, which is part of the package you downloaded.

phpAdsNew has detected that your config.inc.php file is not writeable by the server. You can't proceed until you change permissions on the file. Read the supplied documentation if you don't know how to do that.

If you are not able to correct the problems listed above, please contact the administrator of the server you are trying to install phpAdsNew on. The administrator of the server may be able to help you.

I've talked to tech support ~ they're clueless as to what is going on. I've changed the permissions from 644 to 755. I had originally plugged in some numbers (database and such) but also have tried installing from a clean config.inc.php.

I'm out of ideas. Help?
