We limit username changes to once every 3 months for a total of 3 per year since some members would change their name every other day if we let them. We use user notes right now to keep track of who changed to what and when, but sometimes we forget to check the notes or forget to add them. Thanks for the suggestion.... cron job for the 3 per year (to remove the checks)... Checking for the 3 months might be hard... But notes could do it... I'll figure something out!

Technically, your limits could be enforced since this doesn't change them right away - and administrator must approve them.
