Most other forum software you have to modify to death to get the same functionality that vBulletin comes with right out of the box. What they're talking about here is just extra bells 'n' whistles modifications.

I agree, vbulletin is really easy to use and gives you alot of options that are built in that you have to mod on other forums to get. However, the best thing about vbulletin boards are that vbulletin.org supplies so many "extras" that can just be plugged in due the product manager by uploading 1 file and voila, you are practically done.

Anyways to get back on topic, Ill be a sheep and say what everyone else is saying. It depends on what you want to get done and how big of a task it is. With those factors in mind, that's when you should guesstimate how much YOU are willing to pay to get such a modification.
