Do you mean the forum icon for new posts, or the icon next to the topic name in the forum for new posts? Because both would be extremely easy (and no, I'm not volunteering) either by using an animated GIF that does that thing, a flash animation that does that or Javascript that does that. And never use <blink> tags, they are deprecated, non standard HTML which even the creator has supposedly hated the fact he invented them.

Oh, and if anyone wants to not have to put up with blink tags ever again:

Type in about:config in Mozilla Firefox


Go to 'browser.blink.allowed (or similar).

Change the value to false. No blink tags will then EVER get parsed by the browser (as if they have not even been used by the website creator) and you can have peace of mind.
