Hi, on old server you do That:
1 - mysqldump -u root -p NAMEDBTODUMP > filename.sql
2 - For Gzip do this: gzip filename.sql

3- To send to another server or new one, do this: - scp filename.sql.gz root@ip.of.destine.machine:/directory/of/destiny he goes ashk for Password.

On New Server
4 - To decompress Make this: - gunzip filename.sql.gz on new server of corse.

5 - To put Data Base on place make this: - mysql -u root -p BDNAME < filename.sql
you have created a new data base before this.
