If this is correct, I have to say that you can do it already with the standard i-cash. It allows you to enter the points a user will get for a post or reply. So you only need to enter a negative amount. This will cause that this amount is substracted, if a user starts a thread or reply to a thread.
Maybe it?s a good addtion, if this substraction is also based on the usergroup (eg. mods can post without needing the points, while normal members need to pay points). And addtionally to this it would be great, if the hack prevents new posts, if a member don?t have the amount of points.

Ah, didn't occur to me that you could do that with icash.

I'll probably tie in in with the usergroups system at some stage.
