#1 Joe Ward spams every forum that talks about vBSEO and basically talks about HOW good it is.. even when people ask him questions, he will never directly answer questions and float off them.

Tell me, who would know more about the actual software? Some guy who's playing around with words, duping you for your hard earned $149 or people who ACTUALLY created the original software....
|
I would say someone like Joe does, which is why he "spams every forum that talks about vBSEO". Though, I suppose it's better if only people who don't know about the software talk about it. You know, so it's all facts.

#3 Why would you pay for a product, rather a 3rd! Party product that costs as much as the actual product it self. I could spend that $149 and get another vBulletin board instead.

Building communities. I would rather get more traffic on my existing board than pay the same amount to get a new board and start from scratch.

#4 Why do they have to hide their code? Do you all feel comfortable with that? How do you know what kind of data they access from you?

Are you a programmer? Do you know how much money and time you lose fighting piracy? If you did, you would understand that. Plus, their method was quite unique at the time, and they wanted to protect that. There is nothing wrong with encrypted software. In fact, the majority of software is NOT visible source.

#5 The staff over at vB com also recomend NOT TO BUY vBSEO.

If what you say about them probably putting it into the software later is true, I think you just answered your question. They might even release it as an add-on. You know, put down the competition so you can make more money yourself. Common sense. The other aspect is support. It's not fun supporting a product where the problems are coming from other software. But, they just need to firm up on their "disable all hacks first" support policy.

People are better off taking a chance with Zoints, atleast they have nothing to lose.

Yeah. Zoints. Zoints was sold. Not only that, but the hack was unsupported. As already mentioned, even the owner (at the time) of Zoints was using vBSEO. lol

I have a feeling in vB 4.0 we will see all enhancements of vBSEO in it. So the people who haven't bought it, SAVE YOUR MONEY. They will include a better enhanced SEO in the next release.
|
Great! But, while I'm still young I would prefer to have something NOW. Getting your pages indexed and ranking high is sort of like compound interest. The longer your site is up, the more backlinks you get, the more referrals you get. The longer you put something like this off, the less it will help you. For some of us, time is money. Paying $150 is a few hours work. If your site makes any money, then it's an investment, and one that you will most likely make back very soon. And if it isn't, then you don't need the software anyway.

If you guys bought it, you guys are slow in the head. You just lost out on over $149 spent on those licence. Wait till your jaws drop down, when vB releases something quite similar. Then that money will have gone down the drain and you'll be stuck with useless products.

You seem to be missing a key point here. THEY ARE HAPPY WITH THE SOFTWARE. While you are laughing at them, they are laughing at you. If it works for you, great. If not, you could probably try to get a refund. Calling thousands of users here "stupid and blind" isn't a very good idea. I think they probably feel the same about you.

People don't have to read my text here, they can look around for themselves. I'm not the only that thinks vBSEO is a waste of money. Go to many of the top big name forums, tons of people will agree. I've noticed the ones that ARE with vBSEO, tend to somehow be affiliated with them.
|
Yes, all 5 thousand of them are Crawlability employees / affiliates.
I find myself neutral in these discussions. While I agree that it's impossible to 100% prove that vBSEO works, after installing it I did notice improvements in my search engine rankings and referrals. I don't like the way they do business, but I have nothing against the product. However, I think most of your points have been silly, and that's why you notice (in this thread) that everyone is disagreeing with you and the name calling has begun.
Even if people promote vBSEO here, they will not receive affiliate sales from it. I haven't seen anyone in this thread say "PS, if you buy it, use this affiliate link!". They are trying to help, and are advising based on their results. There is nothing wrong with that. You know, that
was the whole point of this thread.
