You are adding meanings to the Installed button that where never intended.

If you click installed, then your email address is added to the list of emails to sent update notices to, and it will show in your profile. It has never been the intention to use it as a list of websites where a modification is installed.

Update notices are sent to a user (ie. person, you) to notify them of an update. Where they are using this modification is irrelevant.
