Web browsers automatically assume that index (.*) is the page they should go to, so i don't know why it's going to forum.php for you.

I'm not sure if this will work for you - but if you haven't cleared your web browser cache, do that (in your browser settings).

If you're using Windows, you can also do this by going to your msdos command prompt, and typing: ipconfig /flushdns (to clear the DNS resolver cache).

I'm just thinking maybe you successfully made the change, but your web browser is still loading old cache and causing the same old page to be loaded.

But if that's not the case, then i don't know. Good luck!
