Okay, I am running vBulletin 3.6.5 and thus far I've been content with an upgraded version of this mod (see this post).

Unfortunately this doesn't really function very well, because it sends the PM based on when a user clicks a link to add someone to their buddy list either through the profile or postbit, and not when the user actually submits the form. This means that the PM is sent before the user is actually added to the buddy list, and it means that it doesn't work at all when you manually add a user through the Buddy List page.

I need something that works. I assume I'm not the only one wanting a mod that does this properly for the latest version of vB, and some suggested to me that it shouldn't be too hard to make a mod that works with the form, rather than the link.

Hopefully this will get some response and takers, so that I can avoid the paid requests forums this time
