I think there should be an ebay style user feedback system. This way, people who got bad results, bad support, bad custom work, etc... have a way to give their feedback, but it is also balanced by good feedback given by others. And someone deciding if they should install a hack or hire someone can look at the full picture and make an informed decision.

I don't think public threads attacking a coder or designer are helpful, or productive, but until we have a feedback system in place there is little else the slighted member can do.
