The logo is very nice image and color wise, but it is hard to make out the lettering in the background. It took me a few minutes to realize it was interactive. The interface is very well done. You also have many of the links duplicated in the site navigation block, this is good in the event that a person does not have flash...or for search engines. I could not find a link to the forum home in that area though, it would be nice to have that available as well.

Your welcome message on the portal is well done. It looks like it is a new post though, so as you get more news it will fall off the page. Put this same info into a static block or use one of the welcome message mods to make sure your guests see it all the time.

The width of the banner flash prevents the site from scaling down. Not sure if this could be resolved without major edits to the flash though.

The forum icons and buttons are nice and simple but stick with a general theme. Personally I really like the colors, give the whole site a warm feel as you are reading.

You have a good amount of forum, almost too many for starting. I would say keep what you have but do not expand for quite a while, and make sure to keep an eye on activity and adapt as the forum grows.

You have a great start so far. Keep up the good work.
