Why is it that Jelsoft and the VB community seems to be so far behind the times when it comes to video? More and more free forum software, comes with video embedment options as standard.

By now though, I'm thinking there should be premium hacks available that act like photopost. Where you can submit an embedded file into a thread, and it automatically appears in the video gallery. Or you submit them directly to the gallery, and they are then available for people to put in their threads, so they can debate the video they are watching. This doesn't require downloading the video (which would be unrealistic), but just keeping a database of the embedded video, and maybe a still of said video if one is available.

I've offered to pay for someone to build on existing mod which claims to do most of this, but it doesn't work and isn't getting worked on or supported. I've had one or two offers, but all from inexperienced people.

So come on Jelsoft, Come on VB community. Start thinking about all the possibilities there are for using youtube, google vid, metacafe, etc. with VB. The potential for this is unreal!
