Follow this link and look at the install counts to get a sense of what is popular. Each release thread will have some of the following information near the top of the first post so you can get a sense of what it takes to install the mod.

SQL: This modification changes the database structure.
Installer: This modification has an installer included.
Plugin: This modification uses the plugin or product system.
Template: This modification changes or adds templates.
Code changes: This modification includes changes to the original vBulletin code.
File additions: This modification includes new files to upload.
Beta: This modification is currently in BETA stage.
