... just do a search on vBulletin.com for some of the older threads.

Kind of funny in retrospect - but amongst the regulars back then ... and it was a much smaller regular crowd than these days .... was the talk about how vBulletin was going to take over the world .......... ya know - that typical BS from the nutso fans of a product that never really happens .........

(... just imagine having to hack in... oh everything - Polls, Who is Online, Private Messages... would say Quick Reply - that was much later .... heck - we had to hack in Polls - that should give you an idea)

Oh - it was released I believe it must have been April of 2000 ... Might have been May ...

Kind of an interesting story behind it all also - so its worth checking out. Sort of a Google type thing... vB was originally just a rewritten UBB - but in this new, but faster, language called PHP - they tried to sell it to Infopop if I remember correctly - Infopop told them to get lost...... they didnt get very lost
