I've spent more than an hour searching vb.org/vb.com for something like this and I've come up with not a thing.

What I'm looking for is just a simple bbcode that would be something like [username]#[/username] or something where # is someone's user ID. When this was used, the result would be the username of the person whose user ID is between the brackets. I'd also like something like this for a link to their profile ([profilelink]#[/profilelink] or something) and a link to PM them.

The reason I'm looking for this is because the staff members at my board constantly insist on changing their usernames and we have quite a few threads that list the staff in various ways so just listing them like this would be easier than having to edit all of the threads when someone changed their name.

I've thought of doing this with replacement variables but that's pretty choppy and just inconvenient, so here I am.
