vb.org Archive - View Single Post - ...show a short preview of a new post/thread when users are auto-notified by e-mail?

If I follow the conversation correctly, does this mean that this feature/facility was available in v.1, but not in v.2 of vB?

b4 I posted the question, I did a thorough search on keywords such as 'email' , 'notify', 'notification', 'preview', and suchlike, but with no luck.

Please can someone therefore advise me where I stand on this issue right now with v.2? Is a hack available perhaps?
