I was wondering if anyone has or is planning to make a thank you hack where you don't have to press a "thank you" button or reply to view the hidden content.

It would be nice to hide spoilers in i.eg movies or shorten down long copy/pastes from articles and make visitors view it without having to register to reply or thank. It would also ease up on the DB where it doesn't have to keep track on who thanked for each post and would also reduce all the posts for people saying thank you.

I've seen a mod like this, but unfortunately it wasn't for vB and not sure if it was AJAX or JavaScript.

I don't think that it should be that hard. It's just basically like a empty quote block that expands when you press a link with "show hidden content" or "view spoiler".
