I was actually referring to how when listening to music I risk draining the battery, thus leaving me isolated from the rest of the world, so to say

I'm aware that the battery capacity on the iPhone is decent, but it's not enough for me as I can easily go a day or two without a charger, and I would still like to have the ability to listen to music (for as long as my iPod Nano 1st Gen battery lasts at least!). I suspect that battery capacity will increase dramatically in the near future though, so hopefully this will be a void issue in not too long.
