My site crashed about a week ago, lost everything, had to rebuild. All backups were corrupt also. But anyway, I am loading alot of great mods from here and have many questions.
1. I added a ts viewer to the front page of my site, it works well. But as you can see in the screen shot the bar is below the box and not above, I tried everything to correct it. A lil help doing that would be great.
2. I also added 5 different styles to my site. One style,
Dark Castle would not load vbpager to the edited default templates, I had to edit the templates in that style separately,Im sorry only the navbar. I was curious why that 1 style wouldn't load it?
3. About
vbpager, before my melt down vbpager worked on my vba pages, now it wont. What do I need to do to get it to work on my vba pages. Before I thought it was a global variable that needed put in the
admincp/vBa CMPS/default settings, but every one I tried wouldn't work. Please, I have ask repeatedly, had some input, which wouldn't work. And I thank the ppl who tried to assist me. Can anyone help me out with this?
4. Another Style I installed,
Crimson , Look at this
screen shot Just below the banner, on the right side there is advanced search. How do I go about getting rid of that?
5. I'm good at maintaining my site, loading new mods, setting up all the things I need. But what about Keeping the site running smoothly,What are the recommended daily/weekly or monthly cleanup just be done to ensure a good running site?
6. Last one. On my old site, there were many Threads & post. At one point I made an archives forum and forwarded them there upon closing. Ones they were way outdated, I deleted 100's & 100's if not 1000's of post. Well today I was told that I should never delete any threads or post. Always keep an archive I was told. He went on telling me that deleting anything from a site
cause un-repairable holes in my data base. Is this true??
Thanks to all who help me out, blind-eddie
One more question, While logged in, My front page is arranged differently then when Im not logged in, why is that?
