Also make sure you named them correctly. You must ensure the names are exactly the same as the default ones.

If all that is correct then hit refresh and they should be there.

Keep in mind different images are in different folders in the images directory. You will know if you have the right folder and file name if it prompts you to overwrite the file while you are uploading the new ones.
