Besides which you can't just re-release someone else's modded code unless it's really very modded indeed, for your own private site use is fine.

However I've been hassled about this enough, I've started building the forumdog.com feature into a plugin today. Don't ask me when it'll be out, it's done when it's done. It'll replicate what I did for my own forum, not quite the same as replicating Digg.
