1. In your admin cp open up the vbulletin options tab and select vbulletin options.
2. Out of the list displayed chose forum listings display options.
3. On that page the third option down should be Depth of Sub-Forums and a number next to it. Change that number to 0 which will disable it.

Hope this helps you, it worked for me as i was doing the same thing yesterday in the afternoon.
