I would remove those google ads until your forum grows. Everything looks nice but those google ads just jump out and say -- I am looking to make money off of this. Nothing wrong with that but it might stop people from signing up while you are trying to grow the forum.

Think of it this way, until the forum grows the ads aren't going to pay much anyhow. Maybe reduce the # of the ads at least (initially).

Good luck. Oh also the buttons up top seem real small (the text anyhow Blog, Register, Links etc).
