Do
array_walk($sphinx_groups2, "intvalArray");

Also at the moment rewriting sphinx.php for 0.9.7-RC1.

In sphinx.conf just minimal changes were necessary, sphinx.php quite some changes. Currently recreating indices so I can start playing
