How do I create a vbCode via the ACP, so the letters in the brackets are lower case?

Hi there folks I need your help fast! =(...
I created my own [item] bbcode für Itemstats (World of Warcraft) and created my own button for the editor. But everytime I click it the editor simply does this:
[ITEM][/ITEM]
but it has to be:
[item][/item]

how can I make it lower case? please tell me
