#3 might be a little excessive (but effective, no doubt!)

In addition to the above suggestions...you could Cybernetec's "permissions based on post count" hack so nobody can post images or links until they have x posts, etc.

Also, use email validation during registration - spammers don't use real email addresses so they'll never get validated and thus never get in to spam your site.
