I know we can use image verification but that method is annoying as it is not always clear.

I noticed the same pattern with spammers. They probably use robots to register so all that is done is registering.

It could be nice to have a script that monitors the whos online and if it sees that location is "Registering" for five minutes straight, or registering and logout immediately, then it automatically puts the user in banned list, based on the principle that a bonafide user will not register on your site then remain idle.
