I started
www.yesfans.com back in April of 01. I have had my ups and downs. For the most part it does not bother me. The times I get sick of it is when it craps out or members get under my skin. I have now put in place sev admins and mod staff. I have left the site policy make up and execution to the new admins. I am around to put my input on things but otherwise I handle the techy end of things, that is it. I have the staff set up to always review ISSUES as a group and not maKE decisions that effects the site with out getting a few other staffers to chime in. That way the membership does not see any one staffer as calling the shots. I have found this method to work well for the most part.
As for making $$$ I have the google stuff on my site and I sell thigns via
www.cafepress.com/yesfans which in total brings me about 150.00 give or take a little on a monthly basis.
My site is with asmallorange.com for hosting, on a dedicated server of which site donations cover that cost along with the income from the site.
All that aside at times it is nice to just not log in for a few days!!!!!!
