I am looking for a good tutorial for mod making in vb.

I have developed many mods for phpbb and I am having a tough time getting away from the workings of phpbb and moving into vb.

Here is basically what I am looking for:

A tut that explains how to add a row in the permissions area for forums that lets the admin display or not display a feature. Then in I need it explained how to add the code to the template, where in the template etc, that will be displayed in the admincp and that will allow or disallow my content to be displayed depending on permissions.

I figure this will teach me as much as I need to know for now, plus in the process shed some light on how I would develop more complicated modifications.
