vb.org Archive - View Single Post - How to stop Optimize/Repair db?

So, in the middle of a day, and in a zealous fit of administration, I ran Optimize/Repair Databases. This, I have found, is unutterably slow, and effectively brings the entire site down. I have no clue when it will finish, or even if it's still running properly.

How do I stop this? There isn't anything sensible like a "cancel" button.
