This is a very good question, because I need to know about this, too... and here's why...
My board members like to have Shoutbox Battles (aka RPG fights) in the Shoutbox. However, when the members involved are conducting one of these sessions, members who need to ask public questions in the shoutbox cannot get their question seen by the Administrative Staff members during these games. I had to ban Shoutbox Battles until such a time as when I could locate a system for allowing 2 separate shoutboxes on one page (or something similar)... one for the regular shouts; the other for the Shoutbox Battles. Neither box should share the same archive; they would be separate.
Can anyone direct me to something here on vBulletin.org that makes this possible?
I was planning on having the regular Shoutbox at the top of the page and the new RPShoutbox at the bottom of the page.
I tried to edit normal vbshout.php and vbshout.xml files, but it didn't seem to work. The forumhome index simply whited out in the attempt, until I disabled the attempt. Is what I am wanting to do possible in vBulletin?
