I am in the process of switching from a phpBB form to VB. I'd need to find a way to switch over my "blog" as well.

See www.sdotson.com then see www.mcadforums.com. Each of the "blog" entries on the sdotson site is really a forum post that by a series of rules is posted to the other site.

I'd like to continue to do the same (and maybe more) on the VB forums. Are there any canned apps that will do what I want? It would be even better if I allowed certain individuals the ability to post "news' items.

I looked into VB advanced but it did not seem to foot the bill exactly. Unless I looked incorrectly you had to manualy select the posts to show up in the news module as opposed to using a rule sbased selection method.
