A user wanted me to deny her access to a forum. She doesn't want to see it on the index nor in new posts.

I went to "Edit forum permissions (access mask) and denied her permission to see the forum.

She still sees the forum on the index and in "new posts".

What should I do? I may have a bunch of people who want to not see the religion and politics forums. How do I deal with this without creating new users groups? I have 3.5.4.
