Hi all, I send out a fortnightly newsletter to my users. It goes out to over 20,000 accounts and completely loads the server, despite us being confident it's tweaked to run as best it can.

If you send out emails to a large quantity of users, what techniques do you use to minimise load?

What would you suggest we do to effectively email 20,000 users a fortnight without running the site into the ground while doing so?
