First things first, your header image is not pointing to a valid image URL so you have a broken image there.

Your style works well for your target audience, but while your color scheme is good (the flourescent green isn't something you see very often) the images are letting it down a lot. I would replace the images with a custom set and fix the header image and I think you will find that it will make a big difference.
